Year 2 Residency Day 1

The first day of residency was very interesting. I discussed the topic for my dissertation and I realized that is no way I can research this topic without losing my job or someone being arrested for fraud. Now don't get me wrong people need to know about the things that are going on but I am not passionate enough to spend years of my life investigating this information.  I also do not want to be known as the expert in the field that everyone does not want to talk to because I'm always looking for fraud in a company. The dissertation process is becoming more real to me now because we have to write this concept paper. I was a little discouraged but I am grateful for this entire experience.

A great learning experience

I have completed another class and I satisfied with the outcome….another A! This last class really challenged me and my professor was a breath of fresh air. She actually replied to our post with positive feedback and also gave us tips on the different concepts.  I learned a great deal about higher order of thinking and I was also able to use the concepts that I learned in the classroom with my students. I am becoming more and more excited about teaching every day.  Recently, I was told that I had a kind, calming spirit and that’s why students enjoy my class so much.  I am getting ready to attend my year 2 residency to write the concept paper, which is the beginning stage of writing my dissertation.
